Wherever we go or whatever we do, as human beings, our actions instinctively involve looking up, looking around and looking down. When we look up, we see the vast endless sky and its various colours projected as per the specific time of a 24-hour day and the changing weathers. Specific features of the sky such as the sun, clouds, rainbow, moon and stars also become noticeable. When we look around , we are greeted by the natural greenness and its distinct beauty enhanced mainly by the leaves , flowers, fruits ,vegetables, trees and creatures living amidst it. When we look down, we are faced with the expanses of water such the seas, rivers and lakes. Thus, inspired by this natural environment, I have penned down this collection of micro-writings entitled Windows of the Paperweight.
As a poet and artist, I often feel that immortal Nature as created by God is a huge paperweight securing life and keeping all elements in the right place to maintain perfect equilibrium. Each non-man-made perfect creation has a window and when it opens up, its own unique story flows. Hence, based on this imagination and belief, the title of this book and stories (less than 1000 words each) were born.
You just have to listen to Nature attentively and reach its soul, the narration and lessons will unfold and reach your soul in return. New perceptions will guide your mind and enrich your life.
Thank you to all those who believe in me, read my works and motivate me to keep going as a writer. May all human beings and other creatures be blessed with light, peace, longevity and stay connected to the loveliness and wisdom of Nature.
